RIMS Annual Conference 2019 - Ljubljana

Only four weeks to go until the start of the RIMS Annual Conference! Have you always wanted to visit the beautiful city of Ljubljana? Combine education with pleasure and join us for the RIMS Annual Conference, "Crossing the Interface to Explore New Possibilities", taking place from June 20-22, 2019.

An updated programme can be found on the RIMS website.

It is still possible to register for the Conference and there are also still a few seats available for the:

  • Teaching course on 'Falls in MS'
  • Teaching course on 'Upper Extremity & Modern Technology'
  • PhD Student Session
  • Nurse Training Programme

All scheduled for Thursday, June 20. These courses can be added to your Conference registration, but please be informed that RIMS also offers you the possibility to sign up for a teaching course only (without booking a ticket for the entire Conference).

Registration should be done online via the registration tool available on the website. RIMS members can register at a reduced rate!

Upcoming SIG in-between meetings 2019

SIG Bladder, Bowel and Sexuality

On Thursday June, 20th 2019 the Bladder, Bowel and Sexuality SIG meeting will take place in Ljubljana at our Annual Conference.
This month they will focus on "Learning from each other". You can register on the website.

SIG Mobility

We are pleasantly surprised by the number of participants that have already registered to attend the SIG Mobility Workshop on Thursday 20th of June from 4 to 7pm entitled: "Enhancing social participation through sporting and physical activities". We welcome further participants who are interested to join us! The session will consist of a very special opening lecture, a panel discussion with researchers and clinicians and practical workshop.

The annual SIG Mobility in-between meeting entitled "Brain, cognition and movement in MS: challenges for rehabilitationwill be hosted by Dr. Alon Kalron in Tel Aviv, Israel on October the 28-29th. Alon Kalron is preparing a great program at Tel Aviv University and at Sheba Medical Hospital. It will be an unique opportunity to cross the Mediterranean and visit one of the most influential research teams in MS. The registration and abstract submission is open online where you can also find the preliminary programme. We have high expectations towards an extraordinary meeting that you simply can not miss!

SIG Occupation

The next in-between meeting for this SIG will take place in Genova, Italy on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 November. Call for astracts for free paper session is now open. If you would like to present, please send an email with a short abstract to SIG Occupation chair Inger Grethe Loyning.

Fellowship Exchange Programme

The current call for the fellowship exchange programme is open with application deadline set on July 1st and December 1st 2019. In each call, two fellows can be refunded up to €1000 each.
You can find all information (criteria, procedure and document to apply) on the euRIMS website. Please contact the RIMS Secretariat when you have any questions regarding the fellowship.

RIMS Grant Programme

Interested in the RIMS Grant Programme? The application is now open! 
Download the submission form on our website and return this by mail to Dr. Giampaolo Brichetto, RIMS RiGra Officer. Please be aware the deadline for application for the RIMS Grant Programme is December 1, 2019. In the present call, one project is granted.
