RIMS is ready for 2020!

  • promote rehabilitation at different levels within the MS Care continuum in key (partners) organisations and projects
  • deliver different educational, research and network opportunities (Workshop, Special Interest Group meetings, fellowships, RIMS Grant)
  • organize the Annual Conference in Leuven, Belgium
  • in order to stimulate evidence-based rehabilitation for all people with MS.

RIMS Annual Conference, 4-6 June 2020, Leuven (Belgium)

Join us in Leuven, Belgium from Thursday 4 to Saturday 6 June for the RIMS Annual Conference “Collaborate and Engage in Personalised Rehabilitation”!

Take part in one of the Teaching Courses, Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings or the PhD session, to be held on Thursday, June 4 in the National MS Center Melsbroek, or register for the scientific programme only (June 5-6, Leuven).

  • 19 February: Abstract Submission Deadline (both for oral and poster presentations)

News from our SIG's

SIG Occupation in-between meetings, November 2019

The report and pictures from the SIG Occupation 2019 in-between meeting is published on the RIMS webpage and can be read here. The meeting was hosted by the Italian National MS rehabilitation Center (AISM) in Genova, Italy, 8th–9th November. The topic of the meeting was 'Transforming knowledge on technology into relevance for clinical practice'. SIG chair Inger Løyning and co-chair Sofie Ferdinand would like to thank the participants for inspiring and educational days together.

The next event planned by the SIG Occupation is the 3-hour meeting at the Annual RIMS Conference in Leuven, Belgium, in June. Hope to see you there! Registration can be done via the RIMS Annual Conference website.

SIG Communication & Swallowing in-between meeting, January 2020

Many thanks to our local organizer Leena Maria Heikkola. She enabled a two-day meeting on 16 and 17 January for our SIG in Turku/Masku, Finland with the topic “Let’s communicate!”. The programme included a guided tour in Neurological Rehabilitation Center Masku, presentations on current research projects and a brainstorm session on a grant proposal for the translation and validation of a pragmatics test. The report will soon be published on the RIMS website.
