Vincent de Groot works as a rehabilitation physician in VU University Medical Center since 2004 and has a specific interest in neurological rehabilitation, in particular multiple sclerosis. He obtained his PhD thesis with the title ‘Outcome measurement and functional prognosis in early multiple sclerosis’ in 2007. His current research activities focus on functional prognosis, treatments of fatigue and gait disorders in multiple sclerosis, and have lead to publications in international neurological and rehabilitation journals. He is a RIMS member since 1997, participates actively in the SIG mobility, and was elected as a board member in 2011.
