Daphne Kos, OT-PhD, Leuven & Antwerp (Belgium)
Daphne Kos started her career in 1999 in the occupational therapy department of the National MS Center in Melsbroek. The title of her PhD thesis was “Etiology, assessment and management of fatigue in people with MS” (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, 2007). Currently, she is guest professor at the university of Leuven (KU Leuven) in the master’s program for occupational therapy and lecturer at the university college Artesis Plantijn of Antwerp in the OT bachelor program. She performs research within the domain of MS (topics: fatigue, occupational balance, occupational therapy, assessment) in close collaboration with the National MS Center in Melsbroek. This partnership results in an ongoing involvement in daily practice of MS rehabilitation.
Daphne has been involved in RIMS since 2000, first as co-chair of the former CCC Technical Appliances; and chaired the SIG Occupation group since 2004. She was elected as an Executive Board member in 2014.
